The Conflicting Forces of Spring

The transition from Winter to Spring has always felt to me like a long process of crawling out of the dark. Every year I have to convince myself that the fight against the Winter cold is really over. I can leave my coat at home when I walk out the door. The flora and fauna in this climate have to figure out how to push through the frigid ground or crawl out of hibernation or regenerate growth, and come back to life.  This time of year, it's especially easy to see the conflicting forces in nature.  It's hard to imagine that regeneration and growth in nature can come out of all of the change and chaos that we witness.

When people seek out therapy for themselves or their children, they usually have conflicting feelings about themselves or their relationships. They aren't sure how to resolve those conflicts, and have tried everything they know already.  The inertia of life has maybe made the chaos seem more normal, but it's still not what they want from their lives. What is helpful about therapy is that it allows people to examine those conflicting forces in a safe environment.

Therapy is one way that you can make use of the most unbearable parts of your life. I invite you to call and set up a free consultation, and begin to make that change.
"Healing is a process that transforms conflicting forces into a new and more productive relationship."

~ Shaun McNiff wrote this in his book Art Heals: How Creativity Cures the Soul (2004).
